The “Today at Apple” sessions are short free workshops that take place in Apple stores and revolve around Apple products, in these interesting sessions you can learn about photography, drawing, video, music, programming, sports and from next month, you can participate in experiences of art and augmented reality.
The new sessions called “[AR]T” bring together artists, curators, filmmakers and educators with a common goal: to expand the creative horizons of augmented reality, you only have to make your reservation on the official Apple website to attend and interact with works by the best contemporary artists worldwide. The names of the authors who participated in creating the first artistic pieces are Nick Cave, Nathalie Djurberg + Hans Berg, Cao Fei, John Giorno, Carsten Höller and Pipilotti Rist.
The sessions will consist of guided routes through specific points of cities such as San Francisco, New York, London, Paris, Hong Kong and Tokyo where you can find outstanding buildings or artistic monuments, which can be seen in a new way thanks to augmented reality technology offered by devices such as the iPhone or iPad.
As if that weren’t enough, by participating in the “Today at Apple” sessions you can learn the basics of augmented reality, practice with the tools that allow its creation and be part of the artistic installation.
