From 12 July Barcelona has become the main hostess of the national design celebrating its most ambitious Design Week with more than 100 public activities including exhibitions, workshops and conferences.
This week is called Transitions and around this title have developed the vast majority of activities but perhaps the most important is held throughout the diagonal where they have tried to make it clear that design is always present in today’s society and may be available to everyone. Along 12 kilometers the citizens could enjoy round tables, architectural routes, talks, workshops and installations like the one made by the designer Krizia Robustella in the gardens of Palau Robert.
As part of the activities around the design the Design Hub proposes a sample of posters made by the most outstanding studies of the city, another with the pieces that represent the best creations made during the year in Barcelona and in the international pavilion receive Brazil, Italy and Argentina with a series of artistic installations that reflect on the concept Transitions.
As part of the celebration, activities have also been carried out to highlight the centenary of the Bauhaus, the tribute to the 94-year-old Lebanese philosopher and painter Etel Adnan and a mega workshop carried out by Elisava and Made to create new circular materials using wasted resources.
To conclude one of the most active Design Week around the creativity of the city, today will be held Los Laus that reward excellence in graphic design and visual communication of projects design studios, producers, advertising agencies and students.
