Amazon Prime is constantly struggling to stay in the complicated online series market. Having as adversaries giants like HBO and Netflix it is obvious that the path has been complicated but not impossible because within their programming we can find jewelry like The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel or The Man in the High Castle. In line with these innovative proposals, has recently produced one of the most interesting animated series of recent times that will be called ‘Undone’.
From the mind of the creator of ‘Bojack Horseman’ is born a series made entirely by the technique of rotoscopy, a method that among other things, allows animations to be made from recorded material with real actors, a quality that makes the production pioneering in its style. To achieve this attractive and original look, the director and production designer of the series, Hisko Hulsing, has combined these talents with those of several European artists who have developed the animations using various techniques.
Rosa Salazar (Alita’s protagonist) and Bob Odenkirk (Saul Goodman in Breaking Bad) are in charge of giving life to the two protagonists of the show, while the Dutch studio Submarine is in charge of the arduous animation work. Undone’ tells the story of Alma, who is having a day like any other when an almost fatal accident causes him visions of Jacob, his deceased father. These visions lead her to discover a mysterious ability that allows her to travel through space and time, something that gives her hope of preventing her father’s death.
Amazon has not revealed the exact release date but the series is expected to be online this fall.
